The Doors Art Foundation (DAF)

The Doors Art Foundation is a non-profit arts foundation founded in January 2004 in New York City and in 2006 in Rijeka, Croatia. Its main goal is to create cross-cultural dialogue between Croatia and the U.S. as a vital step in recognizing the Croatian cultural heritage worldwide. The Doors Art Foundation hopes that by bringing Croatian film, literature, visual arts, music and other forms of cultural expression to American audiences it will foster a deeper understanding of the past and present accomplishments in Croatian art.. It is hoped that this exchange will create a further impetus for artistic creativity and a renewed interest in the work of contemporary and Croatian artists now and in the future.
